The Pacific Grove Butterfly CriteriumJune 6th, 2010 - Completed and was a huge success! Thanks for all that volunteered and participated.

Race day registration, add $10.00. Second race, $15.00. Day-of-race registration opens at 6:00 am at the intersection of Lighthouse and 16th in downtown Pacific Grove, and closes one hour prior to the start of each race. All entries include NCNCA surcharges, USA Cycling insurance and online registration fees. Unattached rider fees waived. 2010 USCF license required except for kids (available at race). One-day licenses are available for Cat 5 men and Cat 4 women only. Helmet required at all times at race site. Held under USA Cycling Permit. No refunds. Race organizers
reserve the right to cancel or combine races.
Directions: From San Francisco/San Jose, take 101 South to 156 West to Route 1 South. Exit Del Monte Exit 402 B toward Pacific Grove. Del Monte (stay right) becomes Lighthouse after the tunnel. Cross David and turn left on Eardley. Through two stop signs, up the hill and right on Pine Avenue. Find parking on Pine Avenue around Forrest Avenue (Pine venue parallels Lighthouse Avenue and the race course which is 2 blocks north). From Southern California, take 101 North to 68 West to 1 South. Exit 399A off of Route 1 to 68 West towards Pacific Grove/Pebble Beach. Turn right at light onto Route 68 W. Stay on 68 down the hill, staying straight until 68 turns
into Forrest. Take Forrest to Pine Avenue and turn right or left for parking (race course is 2 blocks north of Pine Avenue).
Team Parking: Team parking is available for for team vehicles. Teams can erect a 10x10 awning and use this area adjacent to the course for warm-up, pits and viewing. Team Parking spots are $50 per vehicle on Lighthouse between Grand and Fountain and also between 17th and Park.

Rules: Free lap rule applies; lapped riders may not sprint for primes and may be pulled; races held rain or shine; course closed to traffic.
Commemorative Race T-shirts: Dress for Change, a local Pacific Grove sustainable business and the official clothing sponsor, will offer commemorative Butterfly Criterium T-Shirts made from organic cotton at the event and at www.dressforchange.net.
